Throughout his life, Joseph Palme Myers (Joe) has studied and created visual arts. He has also written poetry and numerous essays and stories inspired by personal experience. His degree in Applied Mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology led to a career in software development. However his true creative passions have always been art and writing. His works have been exhibited in various art shows in Massachusetts, North Carolina and Georgia. Myers is now dedicated full time to his art. There was a natural progression from storytelling with his grandsons to using his artistic talents for writing and illustrating children's books. "Joseph and the Bumble Bee" is his first. He currently lives in Marietta, Georgia with his wife Valerie.
