Joy Selak is an Austin author and philanthropic advisor. She is a former writing teacher and experienced public speaker and has long served in the nonprofit sector as a founder, board leader, development director and advisor. CeeGee’s Giftis her second book, the first, You Don't LOOK Sick!, was non-fiction and co-authored with her physician as a guide to help those living with chronic illness.
Joy spent 14 years as an Investment Advisor and was VP Investments with Smith Barney. She holds four degrees from Arizona State University in Language Arts, including her Ph.D. While at ASU Joy developed a K-12 Language Arts Curriculum, The Blueprint for Communication, that was adopted by 3 districts serving 33 schools in Tempe, AZ.
