For Judy McConnell, literature has been a lifelong passion, but it wasn’t until retirement in her seventies that she fell under the spell of creative writing. Delving into the past, her memoirs recreate the years of the conformist fifties and rebellious sixties and reveal what it was like for a female to buck the restrictions and affronts of the pre-feminist era. With degrees in Comparative Literature and Training and Development, she held jobs as teacher and training specialist. Currently she lives in St. Louis Park and when not writing likes to spend time with her family that includes five grandchildren.
