Julie lives in West Palm Beach, Florida with her husband, Raul, and their golden retriever, Levi Journey. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in special and elementary education and a Master of Science in educational leadership. After a career spanning 36 years in education, Julie has focused her retirement on golden retriever rescue. Levi and Julie are now a certified therapy team where they volunteer at local libraries for the Animal Reading Friends (ARF) program.
 

Hi! My name is Levi Journey. I live with Raul and Julie who adopted me in January 2016. My life was difficult before I came to America, but, now I live in a home where I feel safe. I'm a certified therapy dog and love spending time with my friends at local libraries. Sometimes, Julie and I are asked to speak to groups in the community or at schools. We tell my story and explain the job differences between therapy dogs and service dogs. I love my life!
