Karl grew up in Utah until he turned 15. His parents decided to head off to Nevada to be gold miners where he finished his high school in Winnemuuca, Nevada. That was more years ago than he wishes to disclose. He now lives in Syracuse Utah and has been married for 30-years and has three children.

His love of writing came from his childhood of playing text adventure games on his Apple ][ computer back in the early eighties. Writing is one of his passive hobbies he enjoys along with being an artist and programming.
