Kevin's biggest influence is Stephen King and he says there's a lot to learn about plotting and character from one of his books. He also draws influence from the dark and very blunt work of James Herbert but also enjoys the subtleness of Phil Rickman.

Kevin's biggest influence is Stephen King and he says there's a lot to learn about plotting and character from one of his books. He also draws influence from the dark and very blunt work of James Herbert but also enjoys the subtleness of Phil Rickman.
Kevin has been writing from a very young age and describes himself as the ultimate geek. When not writing, you can often find him watching old episodes of Doctor Who.
He has been previously published in Writing Magazine in the UK, having come runner up in their 2012 ghost story competition with Pack Up Your Troubles, a story about a wartime ghost come back to visit his wife... or so it seems.
Father's Song is his first novel and takes the reader on a journey into the dark origins of nursery rhymes.
