Kristi Saare Duarte, author of THE TRANSMIGRANT, has spent her life traveling the world and chasing adventures. Always open to change, she has lived in Sweden, England, Estonia, Spain, and Peru, where she has studied languages, art, and acting, and has had careers in health care management, advertising, and finance. She is also a Reiki healer and a spiritual channel. Currently, she lives in Harlem, New York City, with her husband Eduardo.
The idea to write a book about the real Jesus taunted her for years. No, not the morose character portrayed in movies and paintings, but the enlightened teacher. Because, surely, if the man was of God, he would be wise, humble, compassionate--- and inclusive? On a rainy day in Kolkata in 2005, she came across the story of Jesus in India, and the seeds took root. More than ten years later, the idea has flourished into THE TRANSMIGRANT.
When not writing, Kristi likes to read (a lot!), bike, do yoga, explore new countries, new foods, new music and dance to her own, unique tune of life.
