Lauren Lee was born and raised in Hong Kong. Growing up, she was always painting in her free time and dreamed of working in the creative industry one day. She moved to NYC when she was 18 to pursue fashion design at Parsons School of Design. A year into working as a designer, she realized that was not what she dreamed of doing. So she picked up her paintbrush and published her first children's book, The Girl and the Lock on Her Heart. She now lives in New York with her beloved cat.
