Leeanne R. Hay is an award-winning freelance journalist whose work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and literary journals. Her story, HIDDEN MEASURES, about a Black classical musician and his life’s passion to diversify the American orchestra through training excellence in underserved neighborhoods, was a nonfiction finalist at the 2020 Tucson Festival of Books Literary Awards. Hay is a graduate of Villanova University, with a BA in History, minors in Sociology and Criminal Justice. While researching her book, NPE* A Story Guide for Unexpected Discoveries, she earned professional certificates from Florida State University, College of Social Work in Trauma & Resilience. She resides in North Texas with her husband and their miniature schnauzer rescue pup, Arfie.
