Before retirement, Leon S. Robertson served on the faculties of Wake Forest University, Harvard University, and Yale University. He also conducted research while on the staff of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. He is the author of 16 books and 155 articles in the peer-reviewed literature. His research focused mainly on factors that increase or decrease risk to health and safety and on the effects of programs and regulations intended to reduce those risks.
