Linda Boynton Pedersen grew up in a small mill town along the Kennebec River in Maine. After her children were grown, she joined her family’s lineage of educators and taught French for sixteen years. In 2001, she published a poetry anthology Words like Pebbles: the Poetic Voice of Three Generations, a compilation of poems written by women of three different generations (Linda’s mother, her daughter, and herself). After retiring from teaching, Linda focused on her long-time dream of publishing The Little Alvernon Stories passed down by her father Vernon Winship Boynton, who in his gravelly voice tinged with Down East humor spun these tales of his boyhood growing up on a small Maine farm in the early 1900’s.
