Lisa's love of words and language began soon after birth, inspired by her English-as-a-second-language parents and a voracious appetite for books. As a child, if there was nothing to read, Lisa would read cereal boxes, and her walk home from school was incomplete without a novel in front of her face. She was writing short stories as early as age 4, although she received no real recognition for them until her book "The Mother's Day Mystery" won a second-grade writing competition and awarded her Gold Cover Honors and a place for her book in the school library.
In junior high, Lisa's obsession with the New Kids on the Block led to a fabricated journal of her adventures with them, a foray into serialized fan fiction before she even knew how to describe it. Soon, the "New Kids Diaries" became famous in her school, with her peers - even those who claimed disdain for the NKOTB - clamoring to read what happened next and pleading to be written into the story.
As an adult, Lisa has written two full-length novels, and is hard at work on her third. She also kept a blog on her year without dating, which was inspired when she accepted a date with a man she then discovered via Google had been on trial for murder a decade earlier. She has two grown children and a teen son, and recently graduated from nursing school to work as an RN in the operating room. She writes, as she always has, whenever she gets a few spare moments.
