Marcia Santore is a contemporary painter. Her work is known for its vivid color, intriguing texture, and image-based abstraction that convey mystery and movement. She has exhibited her paintings in solo, juried, and group exhibitions throughout the United States, has received national recognition for her artwork, and is represented in public and private collections in the U.S. and abroad. She received her BFA in studio art from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been inspired by growing up in home with original artwork, by travel, by galleries and museums, and by classic children’s literature with amazing images. Santore also maintains a career as a professional writer and editor. She lives in central New Hampshire, with her husband, composer Jonathan Santore, and their two sons.
