Marcus lives in Connecticut with his cat, Kit Kat, and the stark memories of his prison years.

In 2015, he was sentenced to four years in prison for the untimely mailing of constitutional challenges against a standing protection order. Dreams that his ex was in a suicide situation, and his lively emails to try to get her attention, featured as evidence in support of that protection order. Marcus received ghostly messages in dreams and a ghost appeared to his mother as lead-up. While in prison, he began writing The Forever Young Prisoner.
