He simply plowed ahead in his work and tried to stuff the pain of grief. The experiences of lonellyness, finding new friends and living a new chapter in his life eventually led him on a journey of personal growth. He was trained and became a volunteer facilitator at Journey of Hope Grief Support Center, a non-profit for grieving children and their families. A a facilitator he found reciprocal learning and hope through the group sharing of stories. He sought information and found few resources addresssing male grief. His book "Grief: The Lonely Road, A Widower's Journey Toward Hope" is written as a result of his experiences combined some of his personal research on male grief.
