After receiving a film degree from La Sorbonne, I won a scholarship to study at NYU for a summer. There, I met an American girl. Long story short: she moved to Paris, we moved to LA, and we now live in New York with our two kids.
My last two screenplays placed in the top 15% at the Austin Screenplay Competition, for which I’m now a reader. I was also a finalist at the Catalyst Script Competition in 2019.
Since I landed at LAX 10 years ago, I’ve worked as a production assistant for Sony and CBS before moving to the digital video space to lead production teams at various media outlets including Popsugar and Discovery. I now work as a freelance writer and producer.
The story behind The Adventures of Theo’s Star
When my first son was born, a story came to me. I had never drawn anything in my life before, but I needed to put it on paper somehow. So I picked up my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. After almost a year of drawing, erasing, trying again, screaming into a pillow and resisting the urge to throw my device against the wall, I completed 43 pictures. At that point, I wanted those pictures to move, so I animated them to create a short film. Then I sent a letter to the Martin Sheen's agent - one of the greatest American voices of our time - a bottle at sea. One morning that bottle came back.
While the film is completing its small run on the film festival circuit, it is now time for this story to come back to its original medium. Because as parents, we all know that screen time isn't ideal at bed time! 😉
