Michael Nanfito Was born in San Jose, California in 1958. He received his BA in Asian History in 1988 at the age of 30. Michael Nanfito Was born in San Jose, California in 1958. He received his BA in Asian History in 1988 at the age of 30. Prior to attending University, he did a great many things and met a great many people. He learned a lot in that crucible environment. His latest book, "Rotten Fruit in an Unkempt Garden" is about that time.
In 1993 he received a degree in Library and Information Science and embarked on a multi-faceted career in libraries, web development, and digital media.
These efforts led to a new career in consulting for Universities on collaboration and project management. Since retiring in 2017 he returned to his creative roots and is now writing, building furniture, and creating turned wooden vessels.
