Michelle Thornhill is an illustrator, writer, sculptor, chalk artist and early childhood educator.
She has published six humorous picture books including The Whole Alphabet is Totally Embarrassed and Why Do I Stink?
She lives in Nova Scotia with (most days) a rowdy throng of other people's children and cats, plus her husband and two daughters and a hermit crab named Periwinkle.
Thornhill has recently won the Volunteerism award for advocating for community literacy, and for committing odd acts of wonder. She has been known to bury treasure in forests and playgrounds, and can often be spotted walking around neighbourhoods in one of many mascot costumes.
