Mina Raulston, single mother and grandmother, is working on her second career. She began her work life working in retail, just like many other people. Later, she spent several years working in the mortgage industry and has spent the last several years doing customer service in a call center. These were her “day jobs”.
Ever since the mid-1990’s Mina has been building a second career, all while raising two children and caring for her elderly mother before she passed. That career has become her passion. That career is writing.
Mina didn’t begin writing until after her divorce due to domestic violence and her gift of healing from God 4 years later. For the last 20 years Mina has written for her church newsletter, Christian and Community newspapers, Christian and Community magazines, and websites. She also has a steady job writing speeches. One of the subjects she writes and speaks about is domestic violence awareness. Mina became a small publisher when she self-published her first book, Home Should Be Safe: Hope and Help for Domestic Violence Victims. In 2014, Mina formed her own business, Hat Rack Books, LLC, where she sells her books.
