Morenike' is a native of Jackson, MS. She graduated from Jackson State University with a Bachelor's in English. A graduate school dropout, Morenike' decided to focus on her writing and released her debut and sophomore novels, "Taste of Insanity" and "SHHH," respectively, in 2013. In 2018, she self-published her third fiction novel, "Running from Color" and in 2022, she self-published her first children's book, "The Adventures of Mel & An." Morenike''s goal is to focus on African American fiction, poems, short stories, film, and tv shows that reflect the African American community and experience.
