I grew up in a row house with marble steps and a stained glass transom. I spent eight years in Catholic school, offset by atheist/agnostic parents who supplied me with books about magic and mythology and science, and who let me watch scary movies and British comedies at a stupidly young age.
I love screwball comedies, Film Noir, pulpy detective novels, British comedies, rapid word play, snappy patter, werewolves, and cheese. Somehow none of this has influenced my writing, which is terrible on my best days, and horrifying on my worst.
I have a lot of "worst" days. People seem to like what I write, though.
