Morgan Hunt was born and raised on a Jersey shore barrier island. Though she’s lived in the theater town of Ashland, Oregon for over a decade, her writing retains a Jersey candor that punctures the pretentious and celebrates the quirky. A Navy veteran and licensed ultralight pilot, Hunt has lived with an aggressive form of breast cancer for more than 15 years. She writes in varied arenas: mystery novels, poetry, screenplays, short stories, and magazine articles, including Writer’s Digest. Her traditionally published Tess Camillo mystery series won a Best Books Award (USA Book News) and a National Indie Excellence Award. Her poems have been published in the California Quarterly, San Diego Mensan, and she’s listed in Oregon Poetic Voices. Hunt’s short story, “The Answer Box,” placed as a Finalist in the 2014 Saturday Evening Post Great American Fiction contest. We the Peeps is her first political novel.
