Nicola Tyche is an American fiction and fantasy author writing romantic fantasy, urban fantasy, and other women’s fiction.

Writing has always been her passion, and she’s been supported and encouraged by amazing people as far back as grade school. While she’s been dreaming up stories before she could even write, she just recently started the journey toward publishing with her debut trilogy, Crowns.

Suspenseful plot twists, strong heroines, complex men, and melt-your-insides anti-heroes are ingredients for every book, and Nicola is a sucker for a good love story. She’s an obsessive writer, writing every day, and wishing she had more hours to spend with fictional characters. She reads as much as she writes, working through a couple books each week.

In October of 2022, Nicola was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer. With early detection and the incredible team at OHSU’s Knight Cancer Center, she’s now well on her path to recovery. One in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, and early detection is key against the disease that claims the lives of more than 42,000 women each year.

Nicola lives in Vancouver, Washington, with her husband and three daughters. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys tacos, traveling, gardening, exploring the great outdoors, and other creative projects.
