Niurka Ozuna was born and raised in New York City. This Dominican American was inspired to explore creative ways to start the mental health conversation to help destigmatize a topic that is far too often considered taboo. Based on Niurka’s personal experience of caring for her mother with schizophrenia, she was motivated to create a work that could aid in building understanding. Niurka has a degree in Business Administration and Management from Fordham University, is the Founder of Niuo Group LLC, a writer, consultant, sister, daughter, and friend who is passionate about helping others and promoting positive mental health.
