Owen Patterson was born in Chicago and grew up in the South Side neighborhood of Chatham. He has a BA in Psychology from The University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition, he earned minors in Native American Studies and Spanish. Owen Patterson has worked as a tutor, Special Ed paraprofessional, and behavioral health counselor. He has been writing poetry and short stories since childhood, but only recently endeavored to publish his works. His book, The Dis-condition of Ease, is available in paperback and eBook formats. A book of poetry is set to be released in December of 2016.
