Patricia Buchanan has been a long distance operator, chief operator, central office supervisor, technical writer, emergency switching manager, jewelry artist, and nonprofit board member. She’s seen the telephone industry progress from magneto phones to smart phones and loved (almost) every minute of that journey. Originally from Ohio, she now lives in beautiful North Carolina.

Her first book, For the Love of Gems, was published in 2022 and focuses on folklore associated with gemstones used in the making of her beaded jewelry. That book was such fun to write, she decided to repeat the experience by exploring the silly side of HOAs.
