Dr. Patricia Williams is a novelist and a blogger. As a Professor of Accounting at Fordham University she published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles in academic journals.
Since retirement, Dr. Williams has taught courses on money management for the Brandeis University Alumni Association. She also blogs at profpat.com on financial issues for women in or near retirement.
Since leaving academia, Pat has turned to fiction writing. In 2013, she completed the Stanford University Certificate Program in Writing. Her short story, “A Slippery Slope”, won first place in the Florida Writers Group Creative Writing Competition. Her debut novel, “The Two Weddings of Zhao Ping”, was inspired by the nine months she spent in China teaching accounting in an MBA program at the University of Beijing. The novel was a semi-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest and was short-listed for the Chanticleer Somerset Novel Writing Contest. Her second novel, “E-Vengeance”, is a story of deception and revenge. She has just published her third novel, "The Garret on Boulevard Voltaire," a romance set in Paris.
Dr. Williams holds an MA and MBA as well as a doctorate in accounting.
