Paul Amirault is the author of the book, The Man Who Sent the SOS: A Memoir of Reincarnation and the Titanic. In his day job, he works in documentary and reality TV. During the first twenty-eight years of his career, he's produced, written or developed more than a hundred hours of programming for broadcast and cable networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, the History Channel, A&E, TLC, Lifetime, Bio, and Investigation Discovery. His credits include Murder Book, Deadly Wives, The Amazing Race, Kids Say the Darndest Things, Behind Closed Doors with Joan Lunden, and the long-running HGTV home renovation series, Over Your Head, among many others.
In 2007, development work on a TV program took Paul to Delphi University in the Great Smoky Mountains near McCaysville, GA. There he discovered a gift for energy healing, and he has since been infusing that passion into his work-a-day world.
He’s currently writing his second book in the series, The Man Adrift at Sea, which chronicles his journey through the world of spiritual healing. He already has plans in the works for a third title, too.
He lives in West Hollywood, California with his partner, James Young.
