Phil Brown retired from a successful career as a writer, direct marketer, speaker and business leader. Born and raised in a small town in southern Ontario, he was influenced by rural adventure, rock, folk and blues, the theater, hard work and good writing. At work he developed powerful branding and communication strategies that propelled RR Donnelley, one of America's oldest printing and publishing companies, to be the largest and most influential direct mail provider in the country. Since leaving the business world, he has published three books, provided direct marketing and business editorial services, and contributed a volume of profiles on Canadian fallen soldiers for a non profit organization.
