R.A. Valletta is the author of The Gaslamp Quarter Trilogy, including the American Fiction Awards crime thriller finalist, THE DYING OF THE NIGHT, and LET ME SEE THEM. His military sci-fi thriller, DECAYING ORBIT, the original Nick Gallagher thriller, is also an American Fiction Awards finalist.

Valletta grew up in eastern Pennsylvania. He was a semi-finalist for the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts in Creative Writing and twice received the Josephine P. Farace Award for Excellence in Journalism.

At eighteen, he embarked on a two-year backpacking adventure across Europe. This real-life journey inspired his debut young adult novel, LATE FOR THE SKY. He then earned a B.A. and an MBA from Moravian University. He lives in Valley Center, California.
