Ray Blasing is a recently retired engineering technologist, innovator, inventor, serial entrepreneur, and engineering consultant. His fascinating career charts a course from spacecraft antenna engineering to leading the teams that innovated foundational proof-of-concept communication systems that critically underpinned the emerging HAPS pseudo-satellite industry. As co-founder of Endgate (Endwave), Ray helped navigate the company to a successful IPO, leaving an indelible mark on the cellular backhaul technology landscape. As Engineering VP at SafeView, he spearheaded the development of the now-ubiquitous millimeter wave full-body scanner, a recognizable security fixture at airports worldwide. An inventor with more than 40 patents to his name, Ray's expertise in founding and leading tech startups, mentoring and coaching diverse teams, and navigating the intricacies of space, military, commercial, and consumer electronics provides him with profound insights into the domains of engineering innovation, product development, and high-tech leadership.
Blasing has a BS in Electronic Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and completed graduate studies towards an MS in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University.
