Rebecca West of Seriously Happy Homes is a model of optimism and of making the most out of the challenges that come our way. She grew a successful interior design company from the unexpected start of getting a divorce and discovering she wanted to wake up each day to her future, not her past.
Since 2007 she has helped clients in ways that buck the bad reputation of the interior design industry, while encouraging her design and admin team to grow personally and professionally, and enthusiastically mentoring her staff and interns. Ten years as an entrepreneur has taught her to listen to her own intuition when it comes to building her brand, and to ignore well-meant but ill-fitting advice.
Rebecca is an avid writer, as seen on her company blog and in the content she has produced for Uniquely Snohomish (pg 8), and Elephant Journal. She is the author of the design-psychology book Happy Starts at Home, has been seen on TV on New Day Northwest and Seattle Refined, spoken at Town Hall and Ignite Seattle, and featured in Seattle Magazine, Success Magazine, and Bustle.
Rebecca can’t resist a costume party, her husband’s cooking (yep, she’s happily remarried), or a cat video. She believes that life should be fun, and your home should make you happy. She lives in a happy home in Seattle, Washington, and travels abroad whenever she can.
