I've always loved folktales and fairytales as a kid, especially the culture specific ones such as Chinese, Polynesian, Middle Eastern and Native American, as they weave together their everyday lives with their spiritual beliefs. As a kid they were simply fantastical and an escape to a new land with new creatures and situations. I'm also a huge kung fu movie addict, avid consumer of anime and a watcher of all terrible, lowbrow comedies.
