Robert graduated from Murray State University, where he also met his wife. After graduation, he moved to Tennessee and had a long career as an occupational safety and health professional. He served 27 years in the Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves before retiring from the military. He currently works as a welder but hopes a final career change has him writing.
