Ron Lindsay is by both education (JD, University of Virginia; PhD, Georgetown) and experience a lawyer and a philosopher. Writing has been the salient activity of his professional life. Much of his writing has in the form of cogent analysis and persuasive advocacy, but as his legal opponents often accused him of producing imaginative storytelling, in recent years he has turned to undisguised work in fiction. The Lost Song of Goliath (Nineteenth Street Publishers), just released, is his debut novel.
He has two previously published non-fiction books: The Necessity of Secularism (Pitchstone 2014) and Future Bioethics (Prometheus 2008). He has also written numerous philosophical and legal essays, including the entry on “Euthanasia” in the International Encyclopedia of Ethics (Wiley Blackwell 2013). A native of Boston, Ron currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia with Debra, his wife and lover of four decades, where their presence is usually tolerated by their cat.
