I write under pen name R. H. Ben-Shalom. I am a Filipino Ashkenazi Jew who was raised Roman Catholic, moved to non-denominational congregations, and now affiliates with Messianic Judaism. The Lord led me to the Bible when religious leaders could not answer my childhood questions. After college, I spent two decades studying the Bible for those answers. After my mom passed away and personally realizing the transience of life, I wrote down my understanding of God and His Word for my five children as a legacy to them. While I initially resisted due to the controversial results of my studies the Lord moved me to publish.
