I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where I received a B.A. in history and an M.A. in history and archives from Case Western Reserve University. I was the founding archivist of the Cleveland Jewish Archives at the Western Reserve Historical Society, and following my move to Atlanta I was the founding archivist of the Ida Pearle and Joseph Cuba Archives of The Breman Museum. Throughout my twenty-eight year tenure at The Breman, I co-wrote and was the curator for numerous exhibitions including, Zap, Pow, Bam: The Superhero in the Golden Age of Comics and Seeking Justice: The Leo Frank Case Revisited.
I retired from the Breman in 2013. My first novel Klara with a K published in 2014. Whitewashed, my second novel of historical fiction was published in 2020. Both of my novels draw from my experiences as the archivist at The Breman Museum.
