Sara McFerrin has been a weekly newspaper columnist as well as a contributor of short stories to Senior Living. In 2011, she published a book of humorous short stories. The writing bug struck again in 2014, and McFerrin authored a non-fiction work entitled Raney Days: The David G. Raney Family and Their Antebellum Home. With her keyboard still smoking from Raney Days, she set to work on a novel of Southern fiction, Whistlin’ Stardust, a semi-autobiographical story of life in Alabama in the early 1950s. Some of the characters from this first novel took on lives of their own, and are the headliners in her Curiosity Club cozy mysteries.
