Shade Rachea was born and raised in Northern California and is the 2nd born out of 7 kids. She attended Vanguard University of Southern California and graduated in 2016 with BA in English. While in attendance, she was published in the school's literary journal, Synecdoche, twice. After graduating, she went on to work as an Administrative Intern and a Creative Writing instructor at The Zion Academy of Music, where she still currently works. Her book, The Crown of Amiriel, is her debut novel and is the first book in the series.
