Shawn Keller Cooper is a native North Carolinian and lives near Charlotte in the Lake Norman area. She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with degrees in administration of criminal justice and political science. Prior to turning her hand to creative writing, she was a journalist, editorial photographer, newspaper editor, and award-winning columnist. Her professional affiliations include Women’s Fiction Writers Association, North Carolina Writers’ Network, Women’s National Book Association-Charlotte, and the Charlotte Writers Club. Her publications include the first two books in the James Island Trilogy, Drawing Down The Moon and Turn Of The Silver Wheel.
