Shelley Stoehr is the critically acclaimed, award-winning author of four novels for young adults and four stories in YA anthologies, as well as one MG story and one MG novel. Recently, she co-authored Weresisters with author John Patrick Kennedy (December 2014.) Shelley has been writing novels since high school and published her first, Crosses, when she was still in college. Crosses, was the first novel for young adults about self-injury. School Library Journal has said, “Stoehr’s narrative flow is a strength, as is her ability to capture the rhythms, attitudes, and feelings of teens. Dave Kiersh wrote, “Stoehr writes about young women in a way that few others do. She presents characters and gives a voice to girls that are seldom heard about in today's commodified popular culture.” Besides writing, Shelley is a mother, editor, and amateur painter. She has been a dancer and a teacher. Her wide and varied interests inform and elevate her work.
