Sherilyn M. Adler, Ph.D. is a developmental psychologist, educator, and consultant who earned her bachelor’s degree from UCLA and her master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Miami. As a parent of a son born with profound hearing loss, she is passionate about ensuring that hearing children don’t unknowingly put their hearing at risk. An active community volunteer and advocate, she chaired the Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for three years. She serves as the Executive Director of Ear Peace Foundation and enjoys mentoring families of children with hearing loss. Her hobbies include art, photography, and cooking. Having previously published in professional journals and books, this is her debut book for children.
