Steve Hauge became interested in climbing boys (young chimney sweeps) in a history course at Williams College. His continuing fascination led to this deeply researched story of their lives: Dark Against the Sky: A Climbing Boy's Story and its sequel, Dark Against the Sky: Sweeping the Shadows. He is also the author of a CD-ROM on Robert Louis Stevenson and the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. A teacher for 12 years and a businessman for more than 20, he lives in New Jersey.
