Stephen C. Pollock, now 67, has played a potpourri of parts over the course of his life:  neuro-ophthalmologist and associate professor at Duke University (1987-2004);  inventor (U.S. Patent 4,477,158);  co-founder and chief executive of CEC, a vision benefits company (1998-2017);  and writer (Rolfe Humphries Poetry Prize, 1977).  He has published widely in the medical literature, and his poems have appeared in a number of literary journals, including Blue Unicorn, The Road Not Taken, Live Canon Anthology, Pinesong, Buddhist Poetry Review, Poeming Pigeon, Coffin Bell, Ink to Paper and Verseweavers.
