5 Years (concurrent w/above) on Boards of Directors of three publicly-traded companies—Siliconix, FAFCO, Heart Federal S & L

21 Years on the faculty of Stanford Grad. School of Business. Now I am Senior Lecturer of Management, Emeritus.

Retired at 53 to consult, write, work on environmental issues (was President of two significant non-profits over the years), build a farm, and raise sheep with my wife of 57+ years on an island in the Pacific Northwest. In summary, I have written/published 8 books (non-fiction & fiction) and been a newspaper columnist. In 2008 we returned to Stanford area due to my wife's serious illness. I am continuing to write.
