Theresa Stephens was born in Cheverly, Maryland, and grew up in Hyattsville. She graduated from The Stratford School of Business with a Legal Secretarial Degree, was awarded an Infant and Toddler Endorsement from the Virginia Infant and Toddler Specialist Network, is the founder of CCH Publishing House and the Owner and President of AIHD located in Fairfax, Virginia. Theresa is the author and illustrator of the Dot children’s book series which became available on May 1, 2021 with the publication of Introducing Dot. She is eagerly anticipating the release of Dot Shops, Dot at the Beach, Dot Loves Halloween and Dot goes to the Zoo. Her latest project is Dot Walks from A to Z which encourages young readers to learn not only the alphabet but over 180 words as well. After graduating from Regina High School, Theresa served as an Airman in the United States Navy and was stationed at NAS JAX in Jacksonville, Florida. She later worked for over a decade in the Middle East and North African Region at the World Bank and raised two children. She is a Breast Cancer Survivor and is currently dedicating her life to caring for infants and toddlers while pursuing her passion of writing through the venue of early learning books to teach young readers the skills that they will need to be successful in life. In her free time Theresa loves to go on walks and roller skate.
