Tony Dincau is a professional geologist, an avid outdoorsman, and a dedicated family man with a wife, three children, and a loyal black Lab. His passion for these roles inspires his writing. He obtained a BS in Geology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1987, and MS in Geology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1989. After finishing college, he moved to Lafayette, Louisiana, where he has been an exploration geologist in the oil and natural gas business for the last twenty-five years. Although his immediate family is firmly cemented in Lafayette, Tony annually visits his hometown of Proctor, Minnesota, to continue his original ties with family, nature, and tradition in the northland. His meaningful experiences along those fronts motivated him to write the memoir A Trout Fisherman’s Soul.
