Whitney Beatty is a creative director, mother, and author who aims to use fiction to make life just a little easier for parents. Her genre, which she calls, "magical excuses for mortal parents," may be niche, but she sees a real need for it in her own life.
Each of her books, Ham Hands the Christmas Elf, Larry Skadarry the Forgetful Tooth Fairy, and Hugo von Hector the Kids' Art Collector, present funny, magical tales to cover up for her own parenting foibles. The characters she creates are lovable scapegoats to make parenting just a little bit easier.
When she's not writing fiction to get her out of awkward parenting moments, Whitney works as a creative director. She lives in Cleveland, OH with her husband, two kids, and the laziest greyhound you will ever meet.
