William Hunter was born and raised in South Carolina. After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a BA in history, he took an MA at the University of Warwick, and an MPhil, and PhD, at the University of Cambridge. Hunter has lived and worked in Scotland, England, Germany, and Switzerland, and now resides with his family in the mountains of North Carolina. His debut novel, Sanction, has been named Best Indie Thrillers of 2017 by Kirkus Reviews, and Best Books of 2017 by BlueInk Review.
