Wm. Stage has been a newspaper journalist / author for more than 30 years. Before that he was a public health officer assigned to the St. Louis Sexually Transmitted Diseases Clinic during the time in which his latest novel, Creatures on Display, is set. He has taught photojournalism at Saint Louis University School for Professional Studies; and feature writing at the Defense Information School [DINFOS], Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana. His other books include Ghost Signs: Brick Wall Signs in America; Litchfield: A Strange and Twisted Saga of Murder in the Midwest; Have A Weird Day; Fool For Life; and Not Waving, Drowning [Stories]. He lives in St. Louis with his wife, Mary, and their numerous unruly offspring.
